Master Hammersley
 

    Stephen Hammersley, Master Instructor of American Martial Arts Training, is proud to be designated as the only school of professional martial arts instruction In Central Florida authorized by Mr. Chuck Norris, Founder, of the United Fighting Arts Federation, his elite black belt organization, to teach Chun Kuk Do, a system of self defense developed by Mr, Norrls and his black belts encompassing karate, kung fu, akido, jujitsu and weapons for a more complete and effective system of martial arts.

     Master. Hammersley, a 6th Degree Black Belt in the United Fighting Arts Federation, was appointed by Mr. Norris as a Weapons National Training Director and is the Region 7 Black Belt Board Chairman. Master. Hammersley has trained for 29 years, taught for over 20 years and opened American Martial Arts in New Smyrna Beach in 1985. Master. Hammersley also holds black belts In Kuk Ki Won Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do and Champion Karate as well as having studied extensively in many other forms, most notably akido and weapons. Master. Hammersley was a member of the first American martial arts team to travel to the Soviet Union for a week of training and camaraderie with the Soviet athletes in March of 1989. He recently spent four days training at Mr. Norris' ranch in Texas. Master. Hammersley has earned recognition for his exceptional teaching skill and is lauded by UFAF Black Belts as one of the top instructors in the system. Master. Hammersley has taken many tournament trophies including first in Black Belt weapons at the prestigious United Fighting Arts Federation (UFAF) in Las Vegas and was a member of the winning 5-Man Fighting Team Champions and UFAF Competitor of the Year 2000. Master. Hammersley conducts martial arts seminars at schools throughout the world and has graduated hundreds of women from his specialized "Women Against Rape" WAR class that he designed exclusively in 1979 for women, teaching devastating and effective self defense against attackers. Master. Hammersley also designed a specialized course for seniors called SCAT "Seniors Combative Awareness Training". Master. Hammersley has produced a police training video that is distributed to law enforcement agencies across the nation.

    American Martial Arts Training has been voted Best Karate School for eight consecutive years and his demonstration team is always the highlight of area functions and benefits and travels to many other states to perform.

    Master. Hammersley has dedicated his life to instructing the martial arts as a full time endeavor and was presented with the highest of honors as 1991 Man of the Year by Mr. Norris himself at the 1991 National UFAF Convention.
