Why should I train in UFAF Krav Maga Force?
UFAF Krav Maga Force is a pure self defense and striking system. There are no competitions or showcases for self defense scenarios. We train in Krav Maga to help us avoid and survive the worst case scenarios. If someone is threatening your life, we train on how to avoid that scenario to begin with, and if it is already beyond the point of no return, we are trained to use the most effective strikes and techniques to prevail, while under extreme stress. There are no elaborate choreographs nor absolutes. There are no uniforms and no traditions. We do not train in Krav Maga to start fights or show off. We train to save our own lives and the lives of our loved ones while getting and staying in great physical condition. As quoted by the founder Imi Litchenfeld,
we train in Krav Maga “so that one may walk in peace.”

Training in UFAF Krav Maga Force: No experience is necessary to begin Krav Maga Force… In the beginning, you will learn basic stances, striking, techniques for falling and getting up safely, and basic defenses against common attacks including chokes and headlocks. In addition to learning how to deal with an attack, you will train to perform better under stress and learn awareness and prevention techniques that will help keep you from getting into problematic situations.
After mastering the basics, advanced students will train to deal with multiple simultaneous attackers, weapons, complicated situations, and learn advanced combative and weapon techniques                         (standing up or on the ground).

For beginners, Krav Maga Force is fantastic, we will rotate through the material constantly and do not have a set rotation or a set “introductory class”. We find that most students cover and practice all of the basic material sufficiently after about 4 to 6 months. We know it’s sometimes intense to join in on an ongoing class, but this is a big part of the training. Self-defense means learning to defend yourself under intense and unsettling circumstances, you want to be able to react calmly during the unexpected, it’s critical that you train out of your comfort zone to really learn to defend yourself, the bad guy doesn’t care if you are out of your comfort zone, in fact they count on it…Join in, try a free class and simply do your best… Adults of all age’s, shapes, and sizes can learn life saving skills from Krav Maga Force training.

For students coming from other martial arts: even though our material and purpose is different from traditional martial arts, we find that your martial arts experience will only enhance your learning ability in Krav Maga Force, but by no means do you have to have prior experience in any martial arts to learn Krav Maga Force.

“Krav Maga Force” is a Great Workout ! If your body is a weapon, then you’ll want to make that weapon as strong as possible. Think of Krav Maga Force as the metal-smith who not only forges the sword but also fortifies it to make it as strong and lethal as possible. (You are the sword, in case that wasn’t clear.) In every KMF class, we have a warm-up, power drills, and exercises that combine cardio and strength training at intense intervals. So not only are you learning the techniques that will help save your life, but you’re also conditioning your body to carry out those techniques more effectively.

*One of the things that surprised me about KMF is how Master H. and his staff find so many creative ways to push each and every student to put maximum effort
into every strike, defense, stress /intensity drill (drills that mimic the conditions of real street fight), or body weight exercises. This will cause your clothes to be drenched in sweat after every class, which is a good thing because it means you’ve obviously burned some serious calories.
